Never seen StickAid before this year

I would like to start by confessing something, I’d never seen StickAid before this year. Despite this I found this years really easy to get into from the start, Myles Dyer has been a wonderful host remaining awake throughout the whole 24 hours whilst still able to stay positive and funny as well as Sam Pepper whose just like an excitable child, but also quite a good interviewer.

In a previous year musician Tom Milsom appeared in StickAid and sung an unnamed improv song about Charlie naked, Tom is also in the band Sons of Admirals with Charlie, this song was considered one of the highlights of last years StickAid and Milson did a new version of it this year. As I didn’t see StickAid last year I had no idea what to expect and was confused and speechless for several moments.

Nerimon “took his shirt off and it was really hot”

Que the screaming fan-girls, Alex Day (Nerimon) with his cousin Dan (TheManOfDann) joined host Myles, conversation consisted mostly of Alex’s clothes and due to a conveniantly pre-build kinder toy he did the he did very well with the obstacle course. At a suggestion, by Sam Pepper of course, after reaching a target Alex should sing a song shirtless. Donations virtually leaped and Day was forced to sing a song shirtless with Dan staring on in bemusement.

Charlie time!

Last year, Charlie participated in StickAid, which at the time I didn’t get to see. This year it was of course Charlie’s 21st Birthday and what’s better way to spend it then live on the Internet, although as Charlie’s first appearance coincided with the last in the series of Doctor Who (for American readers take that as last of the season, we call them series’ -don’t worry Americans Doctor Who isn’t ending), many people had to make one of the worst choices Charlie or Doctor Who. You may be unhappy to know I chose Who, it is the last in the series after all. Although I’ve seen highlights! These highlights and bits I saw later live included Challenge Charlie, comprising of all his challenges in one go, this of course led to him running around awkwardly trying to do everything thus accidentally making a balloon… may I choose my words wisely… male part. As well as several interviews and an obstacle course which he did pretty well at, not sure what place he came but it he was second place at the time, as well as joining Myles in a giant baby suit and doing the course again -not great time but extremely funny to watch. He also was crammed in the suit later with Myles, Pepper and a few others. 

Overall StickAid was very funny and constantly entertaining -thanks guys and gals. Sorry I didn’t mention everything and everyone -it was 24 hours and I have homework to do, would have liked to have written more about others including Liam Radge. Night all, can’t wait for nect year <3

As we all know, today is the day 21 years ago that the wonderful Charlie McDonnell was born into the world. For a while he had lived an ordinary life and was just an unknown member of the public then one day he started making video’s, of his GCSE year, in his bedroom. Since gaining international fame from his vlogging he has been able to become a full-time youtuber and is in the process of moving from his flat share with Alex Day (Nerimon) to a house also with him.

Mentioning StickAid, again.

I am writing this whilst watching the wonderful StickAid (livestream address and line-up in last post) which Charlie will appear in shortly -I’ll be watching Doctor Who, I could watch the repeat but the family will think it’s a bit strange. Hopefully Charlie will have a fun birthday on StickAid, hope to catch it recorded.

So, I’ll be writing more later but for now I have to go to get  ready for Doctor Who.
